Increased Penalty for Conversion of Cars Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, July 20. It was reported to a meeting of the executive of the North Island Motor Union this morning that the Minister of Justice, the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, haa decided on the nature of the increased penalty for those who converted car» to their own use. However, the auuomicement could not be made public' until it had been announced in the House of Representatives. It was stated that the decision had been arrived at as the result of Messrs. J. Linklater, A. E. Ansell, and H. G. Dickie waiting on the Minister. The. president, Jlr - O'Callaghan, Baid it was a case of persistence winning the day.
