SURPRISE FOR DAD
+ ■ Father and son, were ' reunited In amusing circumstances at the Wanganui courthouse the other day prior to the marriage by the registrar of a middle-aged couple, states the “Wanganui Herald.”. The bridegroom, who was taking unto himself a second wife, decided that he would surprise his grown-up family, whom he had come to Wanganui to visit that day. Stating that, two witnesses would be necessary, the registrar 'said he would step across the street to the police station and obtain the services of two constables. Seeing two young men conversing on the street, however, he asked them if they would act as witnesses. They agreed, and followed the registrar into the office. Noticing that one of the young men was looking intently at the bridegroom, the registrar asked them if they knew each other, whereupon the younger man replied: "Well, f should hope so.
