LABORATORY VISITED

Lord and Lady Bledisloe

at Wallaceville

Their Excellencies Lord and Lady Bledisloe paid a visit of inspection to the Government’s veterinary laboratory at Wallaceville yesterday. They were accompanied by Captain J. W. Tweedie, A.D.C., Dr. C. J. Reakes, DD rector-General of Agriculture, and Mr. J, Mcllwaine, District Superintendent of the Agricultural Department. Their Excellencies were met at the laboratory by the officer in charge, Mr. O. S. M. Hopkirk, who conducted them through the various departments. Their Excellencies expressed themselves as being very favourably impressed with the laboratory, and took particular interest, in the colony of white rats ami il'e model poultry farm.
