Auckland, July 19. ’ Action is being considered by the New Zealand Booksellers’ Association to prevent schools’from buying text books direct from London under wholesale agreements; according to a statement by the principal of the Auckland Seddon Memorial Technical College, Mr. G. J. - The board decided to submit the following remit to the Technical Education Association conference to be held in Wellington next month: “That in order to reduce the cost of text books for our students and to help local industry in the present .time of stress,, conference consider whether a scheme for the local publication of the most commonly used text books can ta arranged in New Zealand.”
