gOME actors have to have handpicked stories, but not Warner Baxter, Throughout his colourful career, Baxter has never avoided a role through belief that it might not suit him or his talents exactly. In . a large degree, of course, this is due to the fact that Baxter is one of the most versatile film stars of all time. From dashing buckaroo to artist to theatrical producer, he has played nearly every type of role. And not one of them but has increased his. popularity. The play calls for both light, fanciful moods and intensely dramatic moments—and he again proves bis ability to enact anything given him. A partial list of Baxter’s successes under the Fox Film banner proves the point. ; In “In Old Arizona,’ lie was a desperate character with a humorous, lovable side. He spoke broken English to perfection. In "Six Hours to Live,” he was a dominating politician, and ini “Daddy Long Legs,” a philanthropist and social worker. He will shortly be seen in “Stand Up and Cheer," as au emotional, highly-strung Broadway producer. Playing opposite Baxter in “Such Women Are Dangerous,” art three lovely feminine stars, Rosemary Ames, Rochelle Hudson and Mona Bar., tie. Others in the cast are.
