South Island Championships

Dunedin, June 20.
The South Island dog trial championships were commenced to-day at Middleware!) in misty, drizzling weather, which affected the work of the dogs. The first event of the programme, head, pull, and hold in the ring, was completed this afternoon, and resulted: J. R. Anderson’s (Kauana) Boss, 125 points. 1 : C. H. Smith’s (Oamaru) Chance, 124 points. 2; C. H. Smith’s Moss. 120 J points, 3; John Anderson's (Kurow) Toby Again, 119 points. 4: L. H. Tilson’s (South Otago) Don. and J. B. Queale’s (Southland) Trim, 115 points, equal, 5: J. Anderson's (Kurow) Toby.. Junior was seventh. Fifty dogs competed. ' —■ '
