O’Regan, of Wellington. and it is doubtful whether any other barrister has appeared on behalf of claimants seeking compensation so many times Its he. When Mr. O’Regan appears in -court, on citing previous New Zealand decisions, be is able more often Ilian not to inform the bench that his knowledge of the case lias been gained through having actually appeared on behalf of one of the parties. During the hearing of a ease by the Full Court in Wellington yesterday, which concerned the claim of a quartzminer following an accident, in a minecage at Waihi. Mr. O’Regan cited two cases in support of a particular contention. “Both cases are my own.” he said. “Are they any the worse for that?” queried the Chief dust ice (Sir Michael Myers), with a smile. “That is the reason 1 know them so well, your Honour.” Mr. O'Regan replied.
