Great Britain’s Imports and Exports RETURNS FOR FIVE MONTHS (British OlUclal Wireless.) (Received June 14. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, June 13. Prelim'nary Board of Trade returns of British overseas trade for May show imports totalling £61.727,0(10. against £56,330.000 iir April, and £57.276 000 in May, 1933. Exports were £32.759.000, against: £39,100.000 in April, 1934, and £30.705.000 in May, 1933. and re-exports £4,787,000. against £5,019.000 aud £3.820.000. For the five months from January to May, 1934. imports were £301.249,000, against £267,063.000 in the corresponding period of 1933. Exports for the five months totalled £157.608.000. against F 148.577.000, and re-exports £24,708.090. against £19.941.000. BRITISH SHARE GROWS Import Trade of India (British Official Wireless.) ir (Received June 14. 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, June 13. His Majesty’s Senior Trade Commissioner in India, in a survey of India's trade balance and import trade. In the fiscal vear ended with last Marell, states that the United Kingdom's share of the import trade rose to 41.2 per cent, from 36.8 per cent, in the prev'ons 12 months, and 35.11 per cent, in 1931-32.
