TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST.

Meteorological Office, Wellington, Thursday. June 14, 1934, at 4 p.m. A fairly intense anti-cyclone covers the Tasman Sea and extends on to New Zealand. Pressure is falling slowly over eastern Australia. Forecast.: Light to moderate and variable winds; southerlies predominating north of Cape Egmont and East Cape, but elsewhere northerlies gradually prevailing. Still a considerable southerly swell south of East Cape, but decreasing: otherwise seas smooth to moderate in New Zealand waters. Light to moderate south-westerly winds, veering to west and north-west, in the eastern Tasman Sea : seas smooth to moderate. Weather fine in most districts, with cold night but milder day temperatures. Some scattered showers likely, however, on the coast south of Dunedin.
