SCOTS LITERATURE
St. Andrew Burns Club Formed With the aims of promoting the study of Burns’s works and of fostering the love of Scots song and story, the St. Andrew Burns Club has been formed in- Wellington, the initial meeting being held on AVednesday evening. The club will hold its first, public meeting in the near future, when a lecture and an appropriate musical programme will be provided. Officers have been elected as follow: —President, Air. Robert Hogg; senior vice-president, Mr. J. G. AlacKenzie; junior vice-president, Mr. J. B. Thomson; secretary, Mr. J. Torrance; treasurer, Mr. At. G. Nasmith; committee, Messrs. A. Hogg, AV. E. Boyd, and G. Lauehlan, Aiisses C. Shanks and C. AicKinnon, and Aiosdames A. Hogg and J. Torrance; auditor, Mr. J. L. Steel.
