No Objections Raised by Wellington Police

APPLICATIONS GRANTED

Applications for transfers of hotel licenses, new applications for old houses, renewals, and wholesale licenses were dealt with at the annual meeting of the Wellington Licensing Committee yesterday. .Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided, the other members of the committee being .Messrs. R. Darroch. G. J. Potherick. A. Longmore, and W. I. Clark. Inspector Lander, representing the police, raised no objection to any of the applications.

Transfers of hotel licenses were granted as follow:—Masonic, Edward Cassells Harnett to Leslie Webster Lambess; Shamrock, Henry Drains to Albert Edward Cornelius; Duke of Edinburgh, Johu Thomas ’William Blenkinsop Sowerby to Sidney John Reid.

New applications for old houses were approved of as follow:—Duke of Edinburgh, Sidney John Reid; Victoria, James O’Haulon; Masonic, Leslie ’Webster Lambess; Empire, William Noad; Shamrock, Albert Edward Cornelius; New Occidental, Albert Fry Falconer; Royal Tiger, Vincent Boland; Barrett’s, Nevil Sherbrooke Lawrence; Regent, Alfred Lulham; Caledonian, Timothy Doming Kelliher; Post Office, Kenneth Kennedy; New Clarendon.
