GROWING CLUB

Tin Hat Korero

Sixteen- members of the Wellington Returned Soldiers’ Association, including the whole of the Johnsonville Auxiliary, joined the Tin Hat Club at the second kqrero of the season last night. About seventy were present. The size and enthusiasm of the koreros indicates that the opportunity that the club gives for social intercourse between men with a common interest is welcome. On the motion of the chairman. Major N. S. Lawrence, the meeting indicated its respect for the late Mr. R. K. Lyon, a member of the club, who died on Tuesday. A new backcloth, representing a wartime landscape, presented by Messrs. Blatehet and Wilmot, was in use for the first time.

The following contributed items: — Messrs. S. O’Connell, P. Cole. Clark, P. Oorderey. K. Rigby. R. Williams. AV. Dobson, Lang, J. Osborne, and G. Gray. Mr. C. Dalton was accompanist.
