SEATOUN ORGAN RECITAL

The second of the monthly afterchurch organ and vocal recitals was held in the Seatouu Presbyterian Church on .Sunday evening. There was a large attendance despite the bad weather prevailing, and the programme submitted was interesting and inspiring. Mr. L. D. Austin, at the organ, showed the. varied powers of the instrument in the following delightfully rendered items : March from “Attiabe” (Mendelssohn), “O Star of Eve” (Wagner). Minuet in G (Beethoven), Serenade (Moszkowski), Chorale and Spring Song (Mendelssohn). The concluding item was a very effective synchnonising of a trombone solo with organ effects, the being “The Lost Chord,” by Sullivan. During the recital Mrs. W. Coventry rendered in fine voice the solos “Abide With Me” and “Hold Thou My Hand.” A retiring offering was devoted to the organ expenses. The minister expressed the thanks of the session and congregation to the artists.
