What might be regarded as a cull cow in a high-producing herd might be regarded as a high-producing cow in a poor herd. He. thought a cull cow was one producing less thin the Dominion average of about 2001 b. of fat. Mr. W. Lawrence said that any cow producing under 3001 b. should be classed ns a cull cow. Then any farmer purchasin' 1 ' a cow not classed as a cull would be sure of purchasing a good producer. A member asked what would be the position where a man did not test his cows, as a cow could hardly bo classed ns a cni) until the herd had been tested The matter was left to the discretion nf the delegates. it being recognised that (he idea, though difficult to carry out, was intended to protect farmers.
