Progress in Recent Year Last evening, .at the second session a£ the ophthalmic lenses exhibition held, in the Farmers’- Institute by the Wel-_ lington Optical Association, Mr. G. E. Cox delivered a' lecture assisted by lantern slides demonstrating the production of modern double-vision lenses. The lecture showed lucidly the great variety of such lenses available in several different forms—each form being especially suitable for some particular occupation, or combination of circumstances. Mr. Cox concluded with words of high praise for the recent progress in the-production Of spectacle lenses. . . • > The exhibition will conclude to-night, ‘ when Mr. E. A. Sargent will deliver a lecture.
