Rain Falls in Wellington The weather at Wellington yesterday was unsettled and dull. Light rain fell at times during the afternoon, amounting to .5 inch to 4 p.m. The wind was fresh and squally, from the north, and the temperature at 4 o’clock was 57.6 degrees, and the maximum for the day 60.0 degree#. The weather at Palmerston North was dull and overcast. Conditions were cold. , AI Overcast conditions prevailed at Miutertou yesterday morning, and in the early afternoon light but steady ram set in. A cloudy morning at Wanganui gave place to light rain about midday. Showers continued intermittently throughout the afternoon, but the total fall was not great. Fine weather with an overcast say and a light north-east wind was experienced at Auckland. The barometer had fallen to 30.301 u. The weather at Christchurch was overcast and fairly cold, with an east-north-east breeze. The maximum temperature was 54.4 deg. The barometer fell from 30.13 to 29.91. The weather at Dunedin was line, bur cloudy, in the morning, with a fresh northerly breeze. About midday light rain set" in and continued throughout the day.
