Viscount and Viscountess Long will return to England by the Rangitane, which leaves Wellington on Friday. Mrs G. W. Forbes's sister, Mrs. E. W. Wade, of Oflice Hoad, Christchurch, who has been spending several weeks holidays in the North Island, returned to her home last night.
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Pope, Karori, have returned from Napier. Miss Reta Bassett has returned to Wanganui from a visit to ■Wellington. Mr. Justice Johnston and Mrs. Johnston left for the south last evening. Mr. and Mrs. W. Craig, Wanganui, are on a visit to Wellington. Mrs. B. A. Moore, Wadestown. is visiting Auckland.
Mrs. A. Dunn, Wallace Street, is at present visiting Napier. Mrs. D. K. Leed, Hobson Street, was a visitor to Auckland last week. Miss D. Davis, Christchurch, will leave Wellington by the Rangitane on Friday on a trip to Great Britain. * Misses W. Peters and E. Gray have returned to Waipawa after a visit to Wellington. Mrs. Alfred Caselberg. Masterton, is visiting Dunedin for the, CaselbergHalsted wedding. Dr. and Mrs. G. Craig and Miss Craig, Talavera Terrace, have returned from a short holiday spent in the north. Miss Frances Stevens Las returned to Lower Hutt after spending a week in Rotorua. Miss Jean Samson. Everton Terrace, is the guest of Mrs. R. DobsonAdams, Christchurch. Mrs. Bryan Todd is staying at Sayes Court, and will shortly visit Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. L. Swan returned to Auckland from Wellington during the week-end. Mrs. Eric Lawson, Hataitai, has returned from a motor trip through the Urewera country and National Park. Miss Elizabeth Mangamahu, is in Wellington at present, and is staying at the Berkeley. Mrs. J. Kiddie, who has been visiting Mrs. W. Leahy, Taupiri Street, has returned to Carterton. Mrs. H. B. Williams, Turihaua, Gisborne, is in Wellington, and is staying at the Midland Hotel. . Miss Whittlsh, York Bay, has returned from a month’s motor tour of the Auckland and Rotorua districts. Miss Phyllis Halcroft, who has been the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison, Walkawa, Marlborough, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. H. J. Newljng, Ormondville, is spending a holiday in Wellington, and is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. Plank, Karori. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. C. Oswin, Talavera Terrace, who have been motoring in the Auckland district, have returned home.
Nurse F. E. Reeve, Christchurch, will come to Wellington on Thursday to Join the Rangitane, which sails on Friday for England. Mr. and Mrs. Royce Soames, who spent the week-end with Mrs. Soames s parents at Lower Hutt, left for their new home in Christchurch last evening.
Mrs. Eskell, wife of Mr. Cliff F. Eskell, general manager Universal Films, Ltd., is returning to Wellington by the Wanganella to-morrow, after a holiday in Sydney and Melbourne. Mrs. W. B. L. Power, Auckland, has been the guest of Mrs. Gerald Rosenbaum, Lower Hutt, for the past fortnight, and will be returning by car via Hawke’s Bay and Rotorua. Mrs. W. F. Watson and Miss Lynette Watson, Christchurch, will arrive in Wellington on Thursday to connect with the Wanganella for Sydney en route for England.
Lady Nolan and Miss Nolan, who have been visiting In the South Island, will leave for Auckland to-morrow, and will return to Wellington in a fortnight to live here.
Recent guests at the Hotel Terminus, Picton, included Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Corkill, Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Macintosh, Mr. and Mrs. Thody, Misses Fitzgerald, Barnicoat, Pearless and Smith, Wellington.
