New Records at Auckland By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, April 8. Several records were made and one equalled at the annual secondary schools sports. E. Wordsworth (Sacred Heart College) did 1 2.2 3-5 for the senior half-mile, beating the record by 1 1-5 seconds. A. J. Sayers (Auckland Grammar School) covered 440 yards in 51 2-5, or 4-ssec. better than the previous record. This time is considered a New Zealand schools record. R. B. Cruickshank (Auckland Grammar School) bent the high jump record by 3in.. leaping sft. 7in. _ln the mile. F. E. Watt (Auckland Grammar School), who runs with a crippled right arm in a sling, reduced the record by Usee., doing 4.33 3-5.
