RETIRING DIPLOMAT
Reception to Lord Tyrrell (British Official Wireless.) (Received April 6, 7.30 p.m.) Rugby, April 5. Lord Tyrrell, the retiring British Ambassador, was given a farewell reception at tlie British Embassy in Paris to-dav. Tlie British colony are presenting Lord Tyrrell with a moroccobound book bearing his coat-of-arras and containing the names of the subscribers to a number of farewell gifts. MINISTER AT BANGKOK (British Official Wireless.) (Received April 6. 7.30 p.m.) Rugby. April 5. Tlie King has approved the appointment of Sir Josiah Crosby, British Minister at Panama, to be his Majesty's Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary at Bangkok, in succession to Mr. E. F. Former. Sir Josiah Crosby began his diplomatic career iu Siam, and inis previously served in Bangkok as 1 ice-Consul in 1911 and acting Consul-General. 191920.
