Assassination of Premier LIFE SENTENCES Bucharest, April 5. Constnntinescu, Caranico, and Belimace were sentenced to penal servitude for life for complicity in the assassination of tlie Premier of Rumania (M. lon Duca) on December 28 last. Fifty others were acquitted. M. Duca was assassinated when about to board a train at Sin'aia for Bucharest after a conference with King Carol. A student fired four revolver shots at close range at the Piemier's head, killing him ■instantly. Deputy Costinescu, who was accompanying M. Duca, was wounded. The alleged assassin, Constantmescu, and two accomplices, were members of the Iron Guard, which had been dissolved by M. Duca. The motive is stated to be political revenge. M. Duca was president of the National Liberal Party. He formed a Government on November 14. after the other parties had failed. M. Duca was opposed to King Carol's return to Rumania. __
