TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST.
Meteorologist Office, Wellington, Friday, April G, 1934, 4 p.m. There is little change in the meteorological situation. An anti-cyclone still covers New Zealand, and extends far to the eastward, while a shallow depression lies along the east coast of Australia. Winds moderate to fresh, north-easterly to northerly prevailing, but southerly at first in parts of the Cook Strait area. Seas rather rough north of East Cape; elsewhere smooth to moderate in New Zealand waters. Moderate to strong northerly winds in eastern lasman Sea, and moderate seas. . Weather fair to tine, and mild in most districts, but cloud gradually increasing generally, and mist or fog likely on parts of the east coast. Later some scattered drizzling rain probable.
