PIGEON RACING
Wellington Homing Society The Wellington Homing Pigeon Society flew the third young bird Hock race from Waiourn. a distance of 134 miles by airline. Eighty-live pigeons, representing 13 lofts. were liberated by the railway officials in good weather. The birds evidently met with adverse conditions on the iournev. and slow time was recorded. The following are the first eight pirnings:— C. Egginton's Silver Morn. 3.56.12: J. Perrett’s Bed Lady, 3.5(5.23; _ Murphy and Sherwood’s Moth Plane, 3.56.37; C Webster and Son’s Jacky, 3.56.40; A. Clements's Alf’s Pride, 4.0.43; B. Clements’s Sunday, 4.0.52; If. Cooper and Son's. All Spirit, 4.0.53; N. Barnett's Little Wonder, 4.6.12.
