Warm, Pleasant Day in City At Wellington yesterday, the weather was warm and pleasant, but mostly cloudy, especially in the morning. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 66.9 degrees, and tlie maximum for the day 70.8 degrees. There was a continuation of fine weather at Palmerston North. The sky was cloudy in tlie morning, but bright sunshine prevailed in the afternoon. Bright sunny conditions prevailed at. Masterton. in tlie morning, but early in the afternoon tlie sky became overcast, and tlie conditions very close. The weather in Wanganui yesterday was line. There was a great deal of cloud, but hardly any wind.

Except for light rain for a short period in the morning, the day was fine at Auckland. A light breeze was blowing from the north-east. The barometer continued high, but fell slightly after midday. Tlie weatlier was line and sunny at Christchurch until about 5 p.m., when a light mist came in from the sea. A light north-east wind was blowing. The barometer fell slightly, hut was still above normal last night. A perfect autumn day was experienced at Dunedin. The morning was bright and sunny, but the conditions were slightly cloudy in the afternoon. There was practically no wind. The thermometer registered dSdeg. at midday. The barometer fell about 15 points ami registered 30.55 in the evening.
