Christchurch Tram Appeals By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, March 20. The judgment of tlie Tramways Appeal Board restoring the seniority of 23 members of the traffic staff of the Tramways Board who were derated when the new board assumed office was put iuto effect this morning. As a result, the men whose appeals were upheld now occupy the. senior grades, while tlie men. mostly ex-strik-ers, who were restored to seniority by the new board are now in the intermediate positions. Members of the staff who did not appeal have been placed at the bottom of the ladder.
