New Zealanders Prominent ROGILLA WINS W.F.A. EVENT By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received March 18, 6.30 p.m.). Sydney, March 18. At the Rosehill races on Saturday there was fine weather and a large attendance. The jockey M. McCarten rode the winners of the two divisions ot the Nursery Handicap, namely, .Gladswood and Limyris, the latter being' by Limond. Both were bred in New Zealand. Other results were :— RAWSON STAKES, w.f.a., nine furlongs. ROGILLA, 8.13 (D. Munro) .1. PETER PAN, 9.0 (Webb) 2 LOUGH NEAGH, 8.13 .. (Tauw.au) 3 Chatham and Blixten also started. Chatham and Lough Neagh set a great pace and led to the turn, where Peter Pan closed on the leaders. Rogilla once again came from a long way back and, in a dazzling finish, he. snatched victory by three-quarters of a length, with Lough Neagh half a neck away third and Chatham, who seemed to stop in the straight, fourth. Time, 1.50 J. Chatham’s defeat is believed to be due to Lough Neagh making the pace too hot. in the early stages. Peter Pan’s jockev lost his whip in , the straight.
