PERSONAL STANDARD
For Use on Prince’s Tour London, March 15. His Majesty has conferred on Prince George a personal Royal Standard, which H.M.S. Sussex will fly throughout her tour. It consists of the usual standard with a broad white band at the top, from which descend three white squares containing a blue anchor. SPEECHES SHOULD BE BRIEF London, March 7. Official circles agree that the addresses on the occasion of Prince George’s tour should be brief and pointed, as long speeches are tiresome to all concerned. A certain amount of ceremony and formality is necessary, but official orations might well be-curtailed and addresses grouped wherever possible. The traditions of the Victorian age are unsuited to the exigencies of a long tour.
