CONVERSION OF LOANS Conversion under the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Imans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and the Mount Eden Borough Loans Conversion Order No. 1, 1934, of Debentures issued in respect of the following Loans:

Notice is hereby given to the holders of debentures or other securities issued by the Mount Eden Borough Council in respect of the above-mentioned loans Wiat it is intended to convert all such debentures or other securities (except those in respect of which dissent is duly signified) into new debentures having new maturity dates and bearing interest at 4J per cent, per annum. The conversion will take effect from the first day of April, 1934. Application for conversion must be made in writing and be accompanied by the securities to which it relates. Dissent from the conversion of any existing debentures or other, securities may be signified by the holder . by notice in’ writing delivered to the Manager. The Guardian Trust, and Executors’ Company' of New Zealand Limited, at Auckland, Wellington, Napier or Gisborne, or to the Manager, South British Insurance Company Limited, at New Plymouth, Wanganui, Christchurch, Dunedin or Invercargill, on or before the 15th day of April, 1934. If notice of dissent from the conversion of any debentures or other securities is not received by that date the securities will be converted. The rate of interest on any debentures or other securities in respect of which dissent is signified as aforesaid will, by virtue of'Section IS of the above-mentioned Act, be reduced to two-thirds of the original rate as from the first day of April, 1934. The Mount Eden Borough Council reserves t'he right to redeem all or any of the new debentures maturing on or after the first day of April, 1942. on such earlier date (within five years of the maturity date thereof, but not earlier than the first day of April, 1942) as the Mount Eden Borough-Council may specify in a notice in that behalf to be published in the Gazette at least six months before such earlier date. Further particulars as to the new debentures and the conversion generally may be obtained from the Manager.
