SIR MONTAGUE BARLOW
Engagement Confirmed By Telegraph — P-css Association. Christchurch, March 14. Sir Montague Barlow, a former Minister for Labour in the British Cabinet, to-<lay announced his engagement to Miss Doris Louise Reed, of England, who is also visiting Christchurch. Miss Reed, who was formerly deputy-admin-istrator of the Royal Air Force Nursing Division, is touring New Zealand in company with Miss Evelyn Barlow, Sir Montague's sister, and Sir Montague. No date has been fixed for the marriage. but it is expected to take place at Christchurch within the next few days. It is understood the ceremony will be performed by Bishop WestWatson, who is an old friend of Sir Montague Barlow’s family.
