Petone to Meet Hataitai in

Senior Final

LYALL BAY LOSES REPLAY

In the. replay of the senior pennant bowls semi-final on Saturday, Petone defeated Lyall Bay by three games to one, and will meet Hataitai in the final. The previous Saturday almost identical teams had tied, each winning two games and each having the same aggregate. The results in the replay were again close, but no extra heads had to be played. McLay, manager of the Bryant and May factory, and a past president of the Newtown club, .presented to the club a framed photograph of himself. EMPIRE GAMES | Bowling Team from New Zealand When Jvew Zealand last sent bowling representatives to the Empire Games, held in Hamilton, Canada, in 1932, at least two of them, W. Fielding , and P. McWhannell, were from Wellington. Phis year the Empire Gaines are to be held in London in the second week in August, wheu New Zealand will liqye a wholly Auckland provincial rink as its representatives. These are Messrs. H. Grocott, G. G. Pollard, and G. H. Carter. of Auckland, and W. W. Dillicar, of Hamilton, who left for Southampton by the Ruahine on Saturday. These players will contest the singles, pairs, and rinks.
