Fried fish and chips are getting the cold shoulder in Blackpool. The glad hand is now being held out to Continental delicacies sueli as smoked tunny fish and zabaglione. Last summer’s cruising craze is held to be responsible. The macaroni obtained at: Mediterranean towns Ims whetted the appetite for it. by the side of the Irish Sea. and business men may be seen negotiating yards of it at a gay little Italian restaurant. The girls for their part have turned from peelie Melba to candied pears served <■ with zabaglione sauce. Blackpool in short has become a trifle blase over muffins and tea.—‘Sunday Chronicle.”
