Problem of Refugees From Germany CONFERENCE DECISION (Received January 31. 7.50 p.m.) London, January 30. Representatives of 12 governments and 14 international relief organisations attended a conference with the German Refugees' Committee. Lord Hugh Cecil presided. It was stated that of 60.000 refugees, 7000 had gone to Palestine and 6000 to Poland. Ten to fifteen thousand might be capable of providing for themselves. Occupations should be found for 10,000. but Britain could not lodge these indefinitely. They must be enabled to become self-supporting through some system of colonisation. It was resolved to continue appeals and urge provision of rcasonttble apprenticeship facilities.
