Young Woman’s Offence By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, January 31. Violet May Franks, aged 22, for obtaining goods valued at £6l from the D.I.C. by false representation, was sentenced to two years’ Borstal detention. Accused arrived from Christchurch and booked at a boarding house under the name of Miss Dawson, and on the representation that she had an account with the D.I.C. at Christchurch.
