Gaming Act Charges By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, January 31. As the result of a police raid ou Saturday, A leu Gourley, head barman, was charged with using the public bar of the Carlton Hotel as a common gaming-house, and James Ernest Gillam aud James Kennedy, assistant barmen, were charged with assisting. The police stated that they found 13 envelopes containing betting slips covering a period of one month relating to race meetings throughout New Zealand. The amount of money recorded was £219. Four hundred and fifty doubles were laid in the month. Gourley was fined £5O, Gillam £l5, and Kennedy £5,
