£lO Millions Increase So Far Returns issued by the National Council of Wool Selling Brokers show that sales of wool in the principal selling centres of the Commonwealth from July 1 to November 30 totalled 1,255,287 bales, which realised £23,546,595. The quantity sold shows an increase of 77,548 bales, and the amount realised an increase of £9,981,256, compared with the similarperiod of 1932. The woo], greasy and scoured, made an average of £lB/15/2 per bale or 14.7 d per lb, the average a year previously being £ll/10/4 or 1 S.Sd. The greasy average for the five months was 14.3 d per lb, the average for the similar period last season being 8.5 d. During November the greasy wool sold averaged 15.9 d per lb, the average for November, 1932, being 8.5d.’ The following figures show the quantity of wool sold and the amount realised in the Commonwealth from July fo November 30 during five seasons:—

From July 1 to November 30 the sales of wool on the Sydney market totalled 529,255 bales, which realised £9,793,048, the turnover showing ah increase of 24,218 bales, and the amount realised an increase of £3,999,129 compared with the similar period of 1932. The average secured for the wool, greasy and scoured, was £lB/10/- per bale, or 14.4 d per lb, compared with £ll/9/5, or B.Bd a year before. The greasy average was 13.9 d per lb, the figure for a year before being 8.4 d. During November the greasy wool sold averaged 15.2 d compared with B.ld in November, 1932.
