COSTUME RECITAL

The fourth annual recital of Mies Dorothy Seymour aud her students was given in St. Thomae’s Hall, Newtown, recently. The programme, which was a varied one, opened with an ensemble, “The Rose of JojV’ by the children, this being followed by some pleasing elocutionary and vocal items, character sketches and a oneact comedy. Special mention might De made of the Spanish scena, a very; fins Castilian scene, in which Miss Sylvia in the character of Marta eang well, and Miss Gwyn Jenkins was no less successful in her Spanish dance.. Miss Seymour herself delighted her audience with some of her character sketches. In addition, to her students, Miss Seymour had the assistance of Mr. Sam Duncan, the wellknown tenor, Miss Flora MacKenzie in songs at the piano, and the Tap Trio (Misses Valeska aijd Gwyn Jenkins 'and Miss Jessie King). The accompaniments were played by Mrs. London.
