Cookery Corner
A suggestion has been made, and I think it a very good one, that the recipes sent in for the Cookery Corner must have been tried, tasted and proved by the sender. Then we will be quite sure of always having really delicious things to make. Sometimes cookery book recipes sound much ' more exciting than they are.—KIWI.
KISSES. Soz. butter 41b flour. Soz. sugar. 41b cornflour. 4 eggs. 2 teaspoons baking powaoi. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs beaten, then mix baking powder, flour and cornflour together and add the creamed mixture. Mix until quite light, drop in teaspoon lots on cold oven shelf, md bake in quick oven.
When cold, fasten together with jam, sprinkle with icing sugar. —Sent by Ruhia, Ohau. WINE BISCUITS 1 lb. flour. i lb. butter. Rub butter into flour, add 4 pint water, and work well to a smooth dough. Roll out, cut, prick with a fork and bake in a quick oven.—Sent by “Rumplestiltskin,” Waipukurau.
