Screening at the De Luxe Theatre, Lower Hutt, this afternoon, to-night and Monday night is the latest Maurice Cbev-. alier picture, “A Bedtime Story.” Chevalier is cast ae a man-about-town who suddenly discovers that home and fireside have their charms. This awakening comes to him on his return from a voyage, when he finds a baby abandoned in his car. He calls the police to take it away, but by the time they arrive he has become so fond of it that he has decided to keep it and raise it himself. “Say It With Music.” a British production featuring Jack Payne and his band, screens next Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Not only is the band brilliantly presented, but a human story also entertains. The story concerns a bet made in the trenches when Payne bets his pal that he cannot compose a better tune than Payne can play. “The Devil’s in Love” commences a twonight season next Thursday. Victor .Tory. Loretta Young and Herbert Mundin fill the leading roles. PALACE THEATRE, PETONE With Ronald Colman as the star. “The Masquerader” will open at the Palace Theatre, Petone, to-day. It is said to be Colman’s greatest triumph, and supporting him are Elissa Land! and Juliette Compton.
