Tenders are invited for the tar and bitumen sealing of a section of the Levin-Palmerston North main highway, for some bituminous emulsion sealing works, for the supply and delivery of ironbark poles to the Waltaki Electric Power Board, and for the purchase of a pharmacist’s business in Eketahuna. Mr. S. S. Dean, manager of the Wellington branch of the South British Insuarnce Co., Ltd., will leave on Friday on a visit to Sydney, Mr. Dean, who is chairman of the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union, will take advantage of his pres ence in Sydney to confer with the Australian and New South Wales Rugby Unions regarding the proposed visit of the South African Rugby team to Australia and New Zealand in 1937, ami other matters concerning the control of Rugby. The New Zealand team In to visit Australia next year, and details concerning this will be gone into by the chairman of the New Zealand Union.
