Mishap While Flying Over Heart of West End LANDING IN HYDE PARK (British.-Official Wireless.) Rugby, December 11. When a Royal Air Force singleseater aeroplane was being flown across London to-day from Northholt to Kawklnge, Kent, engine trouble developed and the pilot descended through low clouds to find himself over the heart of the West End. ' In searching for a place to land he skimmed over the’roof of Buckingham Palace while the changing of the guard ceremony was proceeding and .while the King was watching from a w’indow. ‘Avoiding trees, rails and other obstacles, the pilot brought the machine safely to the ground In Hyde Park. FIVE PEOPLE KILLED German Plane Crashes Berlin, December 11. Owing to a collision with an obstacle while attempting to land at Fuhlsbuttel aerodrome in a heavy mist, a Fokker Wulf passenger • aeroplane in tiie Berlin-Hamburg service crashed. The pilot, a Prussian Councillor, Herr Wagemann, an ; American man and woman were killed instantly. Another passenger died In hospital. Four were injured. , '
