PENNY FARE SECTION
Auckland Experiment By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, December 12. The Auckland Transport Board today resolved to establish a v enny fare section in Queen Street between the Post Office and Wellesley Street. The decision was in direct opposition to a report by the manager, who estimated that the change would cause a revenue loss of £3668 per year. The board decided to try the penny section as an experiment until January 31.
