“ALICE-SIT-BY-THE-FIRE”
“Alice-Sit-by-the-Fire” gives every indication of being a reeord-breaker as far as the Wellington Repertory Theatre is concerned. The announcement of this play’s production at the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Wednesday next for a season of four nights has aroused more than usual interest, doubtless owtug .0 the fact that it is a Barrie play, and that word has gone around that the cast is a particularly capable one. Charming sentiment, pathos, and whimsical humour are the main ingredients of the play, but there are elements of satire and burlesnue which add a piquant flavour to tbe The east includes Mrs. Vera Horton, Misses Hazel Wells. Edna Purdie. Tmelda Meadows. Phyllis Batten. Mrs. Lewis Campbell. Messrs. Wm, Simm. T. v. Anson. and Alan Howard. Costumes and scenery will be worthy of the best traditions of the society. The production is under the expert direction of Mr. r>. Wauchop.
