After a six-day hearing in the Chancery Court, Mr. Justice Maughan refused petitions for the reorganisation of tiie Dorman-Long Company, involving a reduction of its capital of £11,248,000 to £1,750,000, and amalgamation with the South Durham Steel and Iron Company. Subsequently Mr. Justice Bennett in the Chancery Division granted a debenture-holder permission to apply for leave on December Bto serve a motion to appoint a receiver for tho Dorman-Long concern.
