Shandon Mid-week Ladies The official closing of the Shandon Ladies’ Mid-week Chib's winter season took place on Wednesday. There was a large entry for the fourbaU best-ball in the morning, which was won by Miss Ellison and Miss E. Smith, with 60 net. In the afternoon a driving competition was won by Miss D. Carstens, and an approaching and putting competition was won by Mrs. Mcllroy. . The president, Mr. G. 11. A. Swan, congratulated the club on the progress made. Mrs. J. S. Hunter, captain, in presenting the prizes, thanked members and executives of the club for their co-opera-tion during the year. ' . The following were the winners of the principal events : —Senior championship, Mrs. Spiers; runner-up. Mrs. Boyd; junior championship, Mrs. Saunders; runnerup Mrs. Hunter, L.G.U. Medal (silver), Mrs. Spiers: L.G.U. Medal (bronze). Mrs. Black; Munt Vase. Mrs. Caldwell; Edilson Cup, Mrs. Richards; Vance Cup (medal foursomes), Mrs. Boyd and Miss M. Smith; captain’s trophy, Mrs. Vance; secretary’s trophies, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Caldwell; Mr. Burridge’s trophy. Mrs. Stewart; Mrs. Frazer's trophy, Mrs. Richards; eclectic, Mrs. Black.
