TRIPS TO TONGARIRO

People of Wellington and district are offered cheap facilities by the Tourist and Railway Departments for week-end trips to the Chateau Tongariro. The Chateau is well-known for its modern equipment. It is a very cosy hostel, with wonderful provision for comfort, the indoor attractions including music, dancing and billiards. Outside there is mountain-climb-ing and a wide range of interesting walks and rambles, and tennis and golf players are also provided for.
