DIGGERS’ CONCERT

The Armistice night concert to be presented by the R.S.A. at the Town Hall on Saturday should prove excellent entertainment. The Estaminet scene in the second half of the programme will be a replica of one of many patronised by the troops during the Great War and should bring back memories of other days to those who served, as well as reveal to others the lighter side of service . in France. A strong team of comedians promises to give the audience many a good laugh and the old war-time songs will be sung by those who know best how to sing them. In addition to the soloists who are appearing, the Returned Soldiers’ Choir, conducted by Mr. W. A. Gatheridge, will give several items, including the stirring “Border Ballad and “The Deathless Army.”
