RIOT IN DAMASCUS
Police Compelled to Fire ONE DEAD; 3 WOUNDED i London, November 3. “The Times” Beirut correspondent says that following an exaggerated description of events in Palestine by speakers at the Ommayed Mosque, Damascus, crowds attacked a police post at Bab Tousa. The police fired, killing one and wounding three. They arrested 25. The night guard was wounded. The British Consulate was strongly guarded. ARAB-JEW HOSTILITY Jerusalem, November 5. Business is normal, but the bloodshed has exasperated the Arabs, who are also hostile to the Jews.
