Austria is secretly hurrying reinforcements to the frontier and making other military preparations, Austria believes that war with Servia is inevitable. Trainloads of war material are leaving the Vienna arsenal daily. Germany demands that France express regret for the violence offered at Casablanca by French soldiers to the German Consular officials. Germany offers to admit that the German Consul exceeded the bounds of discretion. France declines to express regret, but is willing tp. refer tlie incident to The Hague Convention. Seated on either side of him were tlie Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward), tlie Hon. W. Hall-Jones (Minister of Public Works and Minister of Railways), and the Hon. Dr. Findlay (Attorney-General).
