New Zealand’s Own Half-Crown.—The reverse or “tail” side of New Zealand’s new half-crown, the first shipment of which, valued at £250.000. is en route to the Dominion. The obverse side is similar to that of the existing half-crown, but the reverse side contains the arm or shield from the armorial bearings of New Zealand, surmounted by the Crown, and the shield is decorated with Maori carvings. It bears the inscription, “New Zealand Half-crown, 1933.”
