MOTHERS’ HELPERS
Monthly Meeting
At the monthly meeting of the Mothers’ Helpers held yesterday afternoon Mrs. E. P. Norman presided, and those present were Mesdames C. W. Earle, M Reid,' Guthrie, Winton Brown. Barnett, Ward, Hall, McFarland, McKibbin, and Miss Kane. Apologies were received from Mesdames Coleridge, Halligan, G. Reid, Darling, and Anderson. Miss Phyllis Nicholls was elected a member of the committee. In connection with the sale of motto calendars, the committee wish to thank the following :—The Kelburn Tram Company, D.LC., Messrs. James Smith, Wayside Studio, Katherine Cake Shop, The Green Room, Church Book Store, Mr. Piller, the Makara County Council, and also Mr. L. T. Watkins for his generosity in compiling the calendar, the demand for which has exceeded thi supply. The committee greatly regrets that many friends of the society should be disappointed. A vote of condolence with Mrs. W. E. Herbert, who has always been a gener ■ ous supporter of this society, in the death of her husband, Dr. Herbert, was passed by the committee.
