2ZW CHOIR CONCERT

The first concert of the 2ZW Broadcast Choir will be given in the Concert Chamber to-morrow evening. The choir will be under the conductorship of Mr. Thomas .Ward. L.A.8., and a varied programme has been arranged. Two numbers of interest that are to be given by the choir are “Lpve’s Old Sweet. Song, with Eileen Courtenay as soloist, and “The Old Folks at Home.” with Rosalie Trott as soloist. Two artists new to Wellington audiences are Mabel Fiske, a contralto from Wanganui, and Alan J. Cocks, a bass-baritone who will make his first appearance here. The proceeds will be in aid of the Red Cross Society.
